Private classes

Yoga was traditionally taught by one teacher directly to one student. The great ancient teachers understood the importance of individualizing each yoga experience to meet the needs of the individual student. As I want to pay individual attention to each student, I decided to teach private yoga classes.

Several reasons for choosing the private yoga class:

  • Private yoga classes can help you to create a personalized schedule. Taking lessons at any time of the day, depending on work and/or social obligations, allows more flexibility in one’s yoga practice.
  • Private yoga classes eases or reduces the stress or intimidation experienced by beginners when attending large group yoga classes for the first time. They are a great way to start your yoga practice in a more solid footing before you join group yoga sessions.
  • Private yoga classes are the perfect way to work with special health concerns, injuries, or any other limitations you may experience.
  • Private yoga classes are great for experienced yoga practitioners. A private yoga instructor can work closely with you and lead you into more challenging poses in a safe way.
  • Private yoga classes can help you and your partner to learn how to assist one another for a deeper practice.

How to get the most of your private yoga class:

  • Talk to your private instructor about your specific goals.
  • Tell everything about your injuries, surgeries, other health concerns.
  • Leave things that may distract you such as cell phones and other devices away for the duration of the session.
  • Focus on what you want to achieve through yoga in all aspects: physical, mental, spiritual.
  • Try more than once. It can be much more effective if you work with an instructor at least a few times.  You can do this in combination with group classes.
